GURUGRAM: As many as nine shops constructed illegally on an MCG land in Nathupur village were demolished by a team of civic body officials on Tuesday. The drive to demolish these temporary structures was carried out in the presence of police.
A team led by MCG’s assistant engineer Ajay Sharma conducted the drive. The officials had earlier received information that some shops had come up on the MCG land in Nathupur. The demolition drive was planned after that.
“We have cleared illegal structures from around 60 acres of government land in the past six months. The demolition drives were carried out in Sikanderpur, Nathupur, Harijan Colony and other areas. On Tuesday’s drive, we removed nine shops which were illegally constructed on a government land in Nathupur. The drives will continue,” said Hariom Attri, joint commissioner-3, MCG.
