News: Gurugram: Give JMD Garden upkeep to RWA, developer told-22-12-2020
GURUGRAM: The residents’ welfare association (RWA) of JMD Garden in Sector 33 will finally get control over the private colony’s maintenance and operations from the developer, 10 years after the completion of the project and over five years after the maintenance contract expired. The department of town and country planning (DTCP), taking serious note of concerns raised by the residents regarding safety and the poor condition of the colony, directed developer JMD Limited to hand over the responsibility of maintenance and operations to the RWA with immediate effect last Saturday. JMD representatives didn’t respond to TOI’s texts and calls for a comment. Raj Kumar, president of JMD Garden RWA, said: “There are many problems in the colony. We have been complaining against the shoddy maintenance to all the authorities concerned.” “Despite several meetings and directions by DTCP, the developer failed to initiate any action,” district town planner (enforcement) RS Batth said.
