News: Noida Authority tells Supreme Court revised Sports City Plot 02 layout in Sector 150 is cleared-12-10-2026
The Noida Authority has told the Supreme Court, through an affidavit, that it has approved the revised master layout plan for Sports City Plot 02 in Sector 150, clearing the way for development.
Chief executive officer Krishna Karunesh told Hindustan Times that the plan was approved at the 222nd board meeting on April 6, 2026, after public objections were addressed, in line with the court’s orders of November 24, 2025. Developer Lotus Greens Constructions submitted it on January 2, 2026, and the formal approval letter followed on May 6.
The revised layout covers around 300 acres, 70% of it reserved for sports facilities, and was prepared by Skyline Architectural Consultant and vetted by the Sports Authority of India. Building plans for Plot SC-02 were approved on June 9, and conditional occupancy certificates have been issued for four housing projects there.
Last month Logix Infra Developers (Sector 150), 3C Green Developers (Sectors 78-79) and ATS Homes (Sector 152) filed revised layouts, on which the authority has invited objections. At a hearing on October 6 the Supreme Court decided to hear the three cases separately, with hearings on December 9, December 16 and January 20.
Sports City dates to 2004. Four schemes launched between 2010-11 and 2015-16 cover 32.3 lakh sqm (798 acres), with 70% for sports. After a CAG report flagged irregularities, development was halted on January 18, 2021, and on November 24, 2025 the court told the authority to lift the ban within 30-45 days. Lotus Greens was unavailable for comment.
