News: Delhiās MPD-2047 plot-wise land-use details now available on an interactive GIS map-30-09-2026
Plot-wise land use details under the Master Plan for Delhi 2047 (MPD-2047) are now available online as a GIS-based interactive map, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) officials said on Tuesday. The aim is to let citizens get the information without visiting civic offices or relying on third parties.
Launched on the directions of lieutenant governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu, the map sits in the MPD-2047 section of the DDA website. Users can search an area, location or property, zoom in and see its designated land-use category.
It shows nine land-use categories, each in a distinct colour: residential, commercial, industrial, recreation, transport, utility, government, public and semi-public facilities, and agriculture and water body. Thematic layers cover land pooling areas, transit-oriented development (TOD) zones, Dwarka Sub-City, Rohini Project Layout, PM-UDAY colonies and DDA parks.
Measurement and drawing tools let users measure distances, such as the width or length of roads and plots, and sketch on the map. Unlike fixed-scale 2D maps, it supports progressive zooming for a more detailed spatial view.
The platform will be updated as new data comes in. Officials said it could also help integrate spatial data from different agencies, in line with initiatives such as AMRUT and the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan.
