News: YEIDA readies two residential plot schemes near Noida airport for the festive season-06-08-2026
The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) plans to launch two residential plot schemes during the festive season, likely around October, after the strong response to its earlier scheme near the Noida International Airport.
YEIDA CEO RK Singh told Hindustan Times Real Estate that one scheme will be for the low-income group (LIG) and the other for the general category. LIG plots will measure 40 sqm, while general-category plots will range from 162 sqm to 300 sqm. They will be in Sector 5, about 2-3 km from the airport. Singh said the plot count, pricing and other details should be finalised in 15-20 days.
The authority is also weighing a new eligibility rule that would bar applicants already allotted a residential plot by YEIDA, the Noida Authority or the Greater Noida Authority, sources said, so that first-time applicants get a fair chance. Residential plots are currently priced at around Rs 37,000 per sqm.
In June, YEIDA allotted 973 residential plots by draw of lots in sectors around the airport. The scheme, launched in April, drew 1,10,034 valid applications, nearly 113 per plot. The 200 sqm plots drew the most interest, with 57,620 applications for 481 plots, while 162 sqm plots received 48,920.
