News: Rs 65 Crore Sewer, Water Works Begin in Panchgram-04-10-2026
Haryana industries and commerce minister Rao Narbir Singh on Saturday laid the foundation stone for sewerage and drinking water works worth Rs 65 crore in Tikli, Akliampur, Gairatpur, Saktpur and Hasanpur under the Panchgram scheme. He also inaugurated a community centre in Saktpur.
Panchgram is a Haryana government vision for infrastructure and planned development along the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway.
Singh told villagers the government is strengthening rural roads, drinking water and sewerage so that modern civic amenities are not confined to urban areas. The sewerage works in Saktpur and Hasanpur mark the start of the scheme’s implementation there, he said.
He added that treated water from sewage treatment plants would be used in village ponds, aiding groundwater recharge along with rainwater.
