News: New 24-Metre Road Links Sector 49 to Golf Course Extension-19-09-2026
A newly built 24-metre sector road connecting Sector 49 with Golf Course Extension Road at Godrej Aristocrat was inaugurated on Saturday by Haryana industries and commerce minister Rao Narbir Singh.
Officials said the road, constructed by Godrej Properties, should benefit nearly 30,000 residents and schoolchildren.
Singh said the Haryana government would soon frame a policy on 24-metre roads in urban areas to improve connectivity and resolve related problems, adding that chief minister Nayab Singh Saini has held several meetings on the subject.
Earlier in the day, the minister heard public grievances at Uniworld Garden-2 in Sector 47. He urged residents to avoid single-use plastic and to plant at least one tree on occasions of celebration, caring for it for at least five years.
He noted that Badshahpur assembly constituency, among the state’s largest, spans two municipal corporation jurisdictions. Works are being planned with future needs in mind, he said, and residents’ demands would be examined as per rules and taken up on priority.
