News: GMDA Proposes 5.21-Acre Land Buy for CPR Service Road-08-09-2026
The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has submitted a revised proposal to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for acquiring 5.21 acres to build a service road along the Central Peripheral Road (CPR), from Elan Mall in Sector 84 towards NH 48, officials said.
The revision adds around 164 sq metres of licensed land belonging to a residential society, so that the private licensed colony can access the service road. A GMDA official said the authority will bear the cost of land acquisition. The department of town and country planning has approved the acquisition of the licensed land, and GMDA will also pay for the stretch linking the residential project to the service road.
The 5.21 acres lie in the revenue estates of Sihi and Mohammadpur Jharsa village. A 12-metre-wide service road will be built on the left side of the CPR stretch on the Dwarka Motorway up to NH 48. The official said some land has already been acquired and NHAI has been asked to verify what remains before the final notification.
Officials said the road will benefit Krisumi Waterfall residences, around 1,400 families of AVL 36 Society in Sector 36A, projects under construction along the road and the adjoining Global City project.
A senior NHAI official, asking not to be named, said the matter is under consideration of higher authorities.
