News: La Lagune Foot-Over-Bridge on Golf Course Road Nears Nod-03-09-2026
A foot-over-bridge (FOB) planned at the La Lagune intersection on Golf Course Road is in the last stages of administrative approval, officials of the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) and DLF told the district road safety committee (DRSC) on Wednesday. The two have agreed on the design.
The DRSC had earlier this year directed that an FOB be built there. Crash data discussed at the meeting showed nearly 10 accidents at the spot between 2023 and 2025, with four deaths and 10 injuries. Eight involved pedestrians and two-wheelers, leaving three dead and eight grievously injured.
A senior GMDA official said final design approval is likely within a week and DLF will execute the work. DLF officials said construction will take six months after approval.
The committee asked both to prioritise environmental clearances and permission for tree felling and transplantation.
The DRSC has proposed four other FOBs, in Rathiawas, Binola, Shankar Chowk and on NH-8. In March, DLF began building a nearly 640-meter multi-level FOB linking Cyber City Metro Station to Atrium Place at Shankar Chowk.
