GURGAON: Paving the way for speedy development of Sector 110A, Haryana Urban Development Authority (Huda) demolished around 80 structures on Monday. The development of Sector 110A is crucial as eligible oustees of Northern Peripheral Road (NPR), also known as Dwarka Expressway, would be allotted alternative plots in this sector. The development of the sector would ensure early rehabilitation of oustees.
"Around 80 structures were demolished to free nearly 20 acres of the land," said sub-divisional-engineer (SDE) of Huda HS Jakhad. Out of the 464 oustees nearly 250 were allotted alternative plots in Sector 110A in the draw of lots conducted in July-August 2016. The issues of allotment plots to around 250 oustees with GPA and SPA is pending for hearing in Punjab and Haryana High Court. Huda had filed application for early hearing in the case to complete the rehabilitation of oustees and start work on remaining portion of Dwarka Expressway.
Sector 110A has around 478 plots on 14.60 acre of land and 17.89 acre area has been reserved for open space and roads. Out of the 18km-long Dwarka expressway work is completed on 14 km stretch and the remaining has been held up due to delay in shifting of houses coming in the way of the project.
