News: Patli, Jamalpur Flyovers Likely to Open in September-24-08-2026
Flyovers at Patli and Jamalpur on the Gurugram-Pataudi-Rewari highway are about 90% complete and should open in September’s first week, officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) said. NHAI wants the full 45-kilometre road done by September-end, except the Pahadi village railway overbridge (RoB) and the Dwarka Expressway flyover, expected in 2027.
A senior NHAI official, asking not to be named, said the Patli flyover, next to the Adani Logistics Park, opens next month, with Jamalpur’s, around 5 km away, to follow; both need only finishing touches. The Pahadi RoB is about 30% done, built in tandem with the railways.
The seven-km Pataudi bypass opened earlier this month and has considerably reduced traffic entering the town, officials said; the official added vehicles are using it increasingly and congestion has fallen.
The project costs around Rs 1,900 crore, including Rs 600 crore for land, against an initial Rs 900 crore estimate that grew with expanded scope, officials told HT. One official put spending so far at around Rs 1,300 crore, land included. The highway has 81 culverts, 23 vehicular underpasses, one RoB and two flyovers, among other structures.
Most Gurugram-Rewari motorists use the Delhi-Jaipur Highway now; NHAI estimates around 70% of that traffic will move to the new road.
