News: CM Panel Reviews GMDA’s Iffco Chowk-SPR, Sector 68-69 Roads-16-08-2026
Two Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) projects go to a high-powered works committee headed by chief minister Nayab Singh Saini in Chandigarh on Monday, officials said, with contract negotiations expected next. One is rebuilding the Iffco Chowk-Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) stretch, about Rs 47 crore, with stormwater drainage, footpaths, cycle tracks and beautified central verges; tenders were invited roughly three months ago. The other, around Rs 25 crore, is a nearly 900-metre road from Sectors 68 and 69 to Gurugram-Sohna Road, serving Sectors 68, 69, 70, 70A, 75 and 76.
GMDA may also start flyovers by year-end at Dadi Sati Chowk in Sector 86 (seven bids) and Ambedkar Chowk near Sector 46 (nine bids), after an earlier round drew none. The Ambedkar Chowk flyover, from Ardee City towards Sohna Road, will be four lanes, 900 metres and Rs 32 crore.
