News: DLF Targets Rs 1 Lakh Crore Sales in 5 Years, No REIT Now-05-08-2026
DLF Ltd is aiming for sales of around Rs 1 lakh crore over the next five years, or about Rs 20,000 crore a year, with its focus firmly on luxury housing, Chief Business Officer Aakash Ohri told PTI.
The company owns about 50 million square feet of commercial office and retail space but has no immediate plan to monetise it through a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT). Ohri said it does not need one at the moment, given a net cash position of Rs 15,200 crore.
DLF expects profitability from residential sales to nearly double from 2028, when projects sold earlier for around Rs 38,000 crore begin to be delivered.
About 13 per cent of current business comes from customers outside Delhi-NCR and Mumbai, a share Ohri expects to double in less than five years.
Around 90 per cent of new business comes from luxury and super-luxury projects. Ohri said the 24-35 age group has become an active investor segment. Non-resident Indians (NRIs) accounted for 25 per cent of sales in 2025, up from around 4 per cent in 2022.
Residential sales have grown from around Rs 1,000 crore in 2018 to about Rs 20,000-22,000 crore in 2025.
DLF shares closed up 1.4 per cent at Rs 652.40 on the NSE.
