News: Mhari Sadak Complaints to Be Linked to Road Contracts-03-08-2026
Haryana plans to digitally link complaints filed on the Mhari Sadak app with the relevant road construction and maintenance contracts, in order to cut redressal time and improve coordination between departments, officials said on Sunday.
The Haryana Space Applications Centre (HARSAC) and the Public Works Department (PWD) are integrating the app with the Haryana Engineering Works (HEW) portal, through which road contracts are awarded. Nearly 50 road-owning agencies are coordinating on works data so the platform can pull live tender details, executing agency, completion status and defects liability period, and route each complaint automatically to the responsible executor.
The app takes geo-tagged complaints about potholes, damaged roads and waterlogging, which currently go to the road-owning agency.
A senior HARSAC official, requesting anonymity, said complaints would be matched through a common road/tender ID and GIS coordinates. AI-backed upgrades will allow pothole image recognition and duplicate detection.
Officials expect the upgrade later this year or early next year. The app was launched in October 2025.
