News: Aurum PropTech to Buy Housing.com for Rs 458 Crore-16-07-2026
Aurum PropTech Ltd announced on July 16 that it will acquire Housing.com, the real estate marketplace owned by Australia’s REA Group, in an all-equity transaction at an enterprise value of Rs 458 crore.
The Mumbai-based company said in a regulatory filing that it has signed a binding share acquisition agreement for a 100% stake. The deal needs approvals from regulatory and statutory authorities and from the company’s shareholders, and is expected to close before September 30, 2026. Aurum PropTech had earlier bought the housing brokerage platform PropTiger from the REA Group.
According to the company’s statement, the combined platform will cover property discovery, transactions, financing, rentals and management. The main aim is a single AI and data architecture that acts as the operating layer for the ecosystem, linking consumer demand, developer inventory, brokerage activity, rentals and transactions, and improving discovery, matching, pricing and decisioning. The company described Aurum as the largest tech-enabled transactions platform and said combining it with a marketplace would create compounding synergies.
Ashish Deora, founder and CEO, Aurum Ventures, welcomed REA as a significant shareholder in Aurum PropTech. REA Group CEO Cameron McIntyre said Aurum has the capability and local market knowledge to run the India business and that it would be "in the right hands".
Aurum PropTech owns and operates NestAway, HelloWorld, Aurum Analytica, Sell.do and PropTiger, spanning rentals, coliving, data analytics, sales automation and digital transactions.
