News: DLF Eyes Mumbai Luxury Land; Second Phase by Q3-03-07-2026
DLF is looking at luxury and ultra-luxury residential projects as well as land options in Mumbai, which DLF Home Developers Managing Director Aakash Ohri described as "serious business" for the company. Announcements will follow as plans firm up, he said on the sidelines of the HT Real Estate Summit in Delhi.
The second phase of its Mumbai project is expected by the end of the second quarter or in the third quarter of the current financial year, Ohri told HT Real Estate. He called the first phase a "stupendous success" and said the second would be a more evolved product. Feedback, he added, is that the project has driven considerable value in its area.
In Gurugram, the company’s attention is on The Dahlias, which Ohri said is now almost a $4 bn project. Developments of this kind take time to conceive, build, execute and market, and are not "fly-by-night" projects, he said.
Once the ecosystem at DLF Golf Links is complete, including the "necklace" of projects there, at least a couple more developments will be launched in that area, he said.
DLF’s first senior living project, in Gurugram, remains on course for a second-quarter launch, in line with disclosures made in the company’s guidance. Ohri did not reveal pricing, citing compliance norms, but said there is a lot of excitement around the product and it should be in the market soon. The plan is to build good infrastructure around the housing so that it is meaningful for senior citizens. He noted that it is a first for DLF and the team is excited about it.
