News: HSIIDC Proposes Eight Bus Stops Linking IMT Manesar-21-06-2026
The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has proposed linking key parts of IMT Manesar with routes planned by the Gurugram Metropolitan City Bus Limited (GMCBL), officials said on Sunday.
The proposal, under review, identifies eight high-demand stops. Officials listed residential Sector 1, the HSIIDC office complex, Naharpur Mod T-Point, Labour Chowk in sectors 4 and 5, Maruti Circle in Sector 8, Maruti Gates and ESIC Hospital in Sector 3.
A senior HSIIDC official said GMCBL will decide final routes, but the locations, chosen through mobility studies, could help workers and residents who rely on shared transport. The plan is at a nascent stage.
A senior GMCBL official said field surveys are under way as 100 electric buses are expected by August, and 82 of around 142 bus stops are already installed in Manesar.
A mobility plan by the Municipal Corporation of Manesar says the region is short of 56 buses, with 28 of the 100 to run on Gurugram-Manesar routes under the PM e-Bus Seva Scheme. GMCBL’s plan includes one trunk route, primary and secondary local routes and two regional routes from IMT to Dwarka’s Sector 21 in Delhi. It estimates around 30 e-buses on five routes from Manesar, covering 132.3 km in daily trips.
