News: Manesar Industrial Zone Treated-Water Pipeline Tender-20-06-2026
The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has put out a Rs 17 crore tender for 10km of reclaimed water pipeline in Manesar’s industrial zone, to serve horticulture, roadside plantations and industry, officials said on Saturday. Six bidders have shown interest, and a senior HSIIDC official, speaking anonymously, said work will likely be allotted in July after technical evaluation, following early delays partly from limited participation. A consultant finalised the detailed recycling plan in December.
Phase 1, under Gurugram’s Urban Complex Development Plan 2031, targets demand of 23.32 million litres per day (MLD) in Sectors 1 to 8 and utilisation of 30 MLD. Treated water from the common effluent treatment plant goes to IMT sectors, the Kundli Manesar Palwal corridor and the transport hub. Another senior official said about 15 MLD along the KMP and 21.57 MLD for horticulture and roadside work will come from a 55 MLD CETP and a 25 MLD sewage treatment plant (STP) in the Industrial Model Township.
The project report pegs daily demand at 224.36 MLD, with 35.38 MLD of treated wastewater discharged after reuse. Over five years the plan adds five boosting stations, 5.1km of trunk pipelines and a 94km distribution network. GMDA has already laid a 400 mm pipeline from a nearby STP to the KMP stretch for 10 MLD. This tender is only the first component of a larger programme, the official said.
