News: Rajiv Chowk Flyovers Need 3.05 Hectares, NHAI Draft Says-17-06-2026
A draft feasibility report by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has listed the land needed from government agencies for two flyovers proposed at Rajiv Chowk, where the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway meets Sohna Highway, officials said on Tuesday. About 3.05 hectares is required, and the proposal will go to the Haryana government soon.
The report seeks 0.8936 hectares from the department of animal husbandry, 0.829 hectares of existing green belt and 0.7335 hectares from the department of telecommunications (DoT). It also needs 0.2112 hectares of an adjoining Haryana government plot, 0.2055 hectares of Air Force land and 0.18325 hectares from Tau Devi Lal Stadium.
One flyover will rise from Sohna Road, veer slightly towards the Hero Honda Chowk side and turn towards Delhi. The other will start from Sector 32 and carry traffic towards Sohna Highway. An NHAI official said vehicles from Sohna to Delhi now wait at the signal, and those heading to Sohna from the Delhi-Jaipur highway get stuck where traffic merges.
