News: Three Flyovers Proposed Near Millennium City Centre-30-05-2026
The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) plans three flyovers between Millennium City Centre Metro station and Bakhtawar Chowk, with the aim of making the road from the station to the Dwarka Expressway signal-free, officials said on Friday.
The flyovers are proposed along the metro corridor at the intersections of sectors 44-45, sectors 30-41 and sectors 45-46, GMDA officials told HT.
The plan was discussed with Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) at a meeting chaired by GMDA CEO PC Meena on Friday, since nearby stations will have to be designed around the structures. It will go before the GMDA board at its next meeting, to be presided over by Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini.
The road to the Dwarka Expressway is about 16 kilometers long. GMRL had earlier proposed a three-lane flyover at Bakhtawar Chowk. Subhash Chowk has a flyover and Hero Honda Chowk an underpass. NHAI is to build an elevated road from Hero Honda Chowk to Umang Bhardwaj Chowk, and most of the section beyond is already elevated.
