News: NHAI Targets December for Four Delhi-Jaipur Highway Flyovers-16-05-2026
Four flyovers under construction on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway will be finished by December, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) said on Friday.
Work on the structures at Dharuhera, Rathiwas, Salahwas and Bilaspur began in August 2025 as part of a decongestion and upgradation plan. The tender was awarded last year. The flyovers, costing Rs 282 crore, are 800 metres to 900 metre long, officials said.
Project director Yogesh Tilak said Rathiwas should be complete by June 15 and Bilaspur opened to traffic around August 15. Salhawas is expected by the end of October and Dharuhera by November-end. Each will have three lanes in each direction.
Work on a fifth flyover, at Manesar, started earlier this week and is expected to be completed by October next year. NHAI officials also said efforts are on to finish it by July next year, and that traffic police have put diversions in place.
The authority said safety equipment and signage are being installed along the highway. Congestion is a major problem at all five NH-48 intersections where the flyovers are coming up, officials said.
