News: GMRL Issues First Land Notice for Metro Corridor-14-05-2026
Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) has published its first public notice for private land, more than 10,000 square metres, for the proposed Millennium City Centre-to-Cyber City corridor. It applies the January 8 land purchase policy, which lets GMRL buy directly through negotiation and mutual consent via a committee headed by the deputy commissioner. The framework was reported earlier; this notice adds parcel details and formally starts the objection process.
Landowners in Kanhai, Islampur and Basai have 30 days to lodge ownership objections with the Land Purchase Committee, Gurugram, through the land acquisition officer’s office, the HSVP office in Sector 14, or [email protected].
Most land lies in Islampur, Badshahpur sub-tehsil: nearly 8,653.63 sq m in parcels of 1,881 sq m, 2,759.22 sq m and 3,637.15 sq m. Kanhai adds 534 sq m (an institutional plot in Sector 44 by Fortis Hospital) and Basai Village 1,695.74 sq m in several small Sector 9 parcels, Gurugram. The land will host metro stations and tracks.
Separately, GMRL officials said over 15,000 sq m of HSVP-owned land is earmarked for phase two, where building begins after World Bank tender approval and loan sanction.
