News: HSVP Clears 100 Shanties at Sector 10 Auto Market Land-30-04-2026

About 100 illegal shanties were demolished on Wednesday at the auto market in Sector-10 by an enforcement team of the Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), officials said.

The 25-acre parcel designated for the Auto Market is to house a casting yard for Phase-2 of the Old Gurugram Metro line from Sector-9 to DLF Cyber City, and must be handed over to Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) at the earliest. A senior HSVP official said announcements asking occupants to vacate were made two days earlier without response. The team, led by subdivisional engineer Ajmer Singh, acted with Gurugram police support. Occupants were warned of legal cases if they return.

Separately, HSVP’s estate office two removed illegal nurseries, car repair shops, shanties and tea stalls from land meant for schools and parking in Sector 47, and demolished a shop on park land in Sector 51. Junior engineer Rampal Kundu said an illegal RMC plant was sealed in Sector 46 and action would continue.
