News: CM Saini Inspects NH-48 Service Lane, Leg-2 Drain-26-04-2026
Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini toured several spots in Gurugram on Sunday, told officials to plug gaps in civic works and said he would return every month to review progress.
Saini was in the city for party and labour-related functions. According to a district administration spokesperson, he stopped his convoy on the NH-48 service lane on the way to Guru Kamal near Signature Tower to check cleanliness and upkeep of greenery, and gave on-the-spot directions to finish civic works at the earliest. He said he was receiving feedback from residents and there should be no deficiency in public services. He also asked for attention to roadside greenery and parks.
Later he inspected the Leg-2 stormwater drain near Ashok Vihar-Bhimgarh Kheri, which runs from Chakkarpur to the Najafgarh drain along Sheetla Mata Road. He ordered continuous cleaning, regular water sampling, strengthening of both sides and cleanliness in surrounding areas. A senior GMDA official said a tender has been floated to desilt the drain from Signature Tower crossing to Bhimgarh Kheri and plug illegal discharge points, and the drain is being concretised.
Industries and commerce minister Rao Narbir Singh, Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma, Pataudi MLA Bimla Chaudhary, deputy commissioner Uttam Singh, MCG commissioner Pradeep Dahiya and police commissioner Vikas Arora accompanied him.
