News: MCG Invites Bids for Four Model Roads in Gurugram-26-04-2026
The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram has floated tenders to develop four model road stretches over the next five months under its clean action plan, officials said on Sunday.
The stretches named are Artemis Hospital Road to Hong Kong Bazaar, Jheel Chowk to Wazirabad near Ardee Mall, and Sushant Lok-II. They will get wider pedestrian walkways, signal-free corridors, streetscaping and better lighting. Each project is estimated at Rs 4 crore to Rs 6 crore. Bids are open on the Haryana government portal until the first week of May.
A senior MCG official said signals will be synchronised to cut travel time. Latest estimates for the four stretches are around Rs 23 crores, covering topiary plantations, high-mast LED lights, thermoplastic markings, crash barriers and dustbins.
In all, 23 roads are to be redeveloped by year-end, 15 under MCG and eight under the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority. Stretches planned for 2026 include Delhi Border to Ram Chowk in Palam Vihar, MG Road to Old Delhi Road, Bhuteshwar Mandir Chowk to Kherki Dhaula and Khandsa Road to Bikaner Chowk.
