News: Pataudi Government College Gets Rs 27 Crore DPR-23-04-2026
The Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) has begun the process of building a government college in Sector 1, Pataudi, with a Detailed Project Report (DPR) prepared at an estimated Rs 27 crore, officials said.
The college now runs from a community centre on the Pataudi-Tauru road and has no campus of its own. A senior HSVP official said the consultant engaged last year has submitted the DPR, which will undergo technical scrutiny. Once the tender is allotted, construction should take one and a half years.
Vimaldeep Singh, executive engineer, HSVP, said the tender will be floated as soon as higher authorities grant technical approval. HSVP also plans a dispensary on about one acre in Sector 1 and has sought the Health Department’s concurrence before preparing a DPR.
A resident said the long-pending demand was raised two years ago with chief minister Nayab Singh Saini, who then directed HSVP to proceed.
