News: NBCC Sells Five Bharat Business Park Towers: Rs 5,779 Cr-17-04-2026
Five of eight towers at Bharat Business Park in Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi, have been sold for Rs 5,779 crore, an official of public sector National Buildings Construction Corporation Limited (NBCC) said on Friday. They account for about 14 lakh sq ft of the project’s 23.44 lakh sq ft super built-up area, and Russian bank Sberbank bought two. The March 8 e-auction followed a ceremony where Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid foundation stones for several capital infrastructure projects. Bids averaged 5% above reserve price, and an NBCC official said keen competition cleared inventory across towers and floors, confirming the project’s appeal as a premium South Delhi commercial address. The building should be ready in two years.
The money will fund redevelopment of seven GPRA (General Pool Residential Accommodation) projects: Nauroji Nagar, Netaji Nagar, Sarojini Nagar, Mohammadpur, Sriniwaspuri, Kasturba Nagar and Thyagaraj Nagar. Officials said old quarters in the DIZ area (Gole Market) and Andrews Ganj will be redeveloped likewise.
Green features include solar power and street lighting, efficient chillers, an intelligent Building Management System (BMS), modular rainwater harvesting, energy monitoring, EV charging and a Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP).
