News: Krisumi Launches The Forest Reserve on Dwarka Expressway-13-04-2026
Krisumi Corporation has launched the fifth and sixth phases of its Krisumi City luxury township on Dwarka Expressway in Gurugram and plans to put in a further Rs 4,500 crore over the next 6-7 years in the 33.5-acre development.
The company is a 50:50 joint venture between Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation and India’s Krishna Group. The new phases, branded The Forest Reserve, cover about 1.67 million sq ft, total nearly 550 units and are expected to bring in close to Rs 4,000 crore in revenue. Inspired by the Japanese idea of Chinju-no-mori, or sacred shrine forests, they will offer 4 LDK (living, dining and kitchen) homes of around 4,000 sq ft, 3 LDK units of about 3,000 sq ft and penthouses of 4,500 to 6,000 sq ft, with four penthouses in each of the four towers.
Over the last 5-6 years the company launched four phases of Waterfall Residences with around 1,800 units. The township will eventually have 2,772 units. Ashok Kapur, chairman of Krishna Group and Krisumi Corporation, told reporters that about Rs 2,500 crore has been invested since 2019 and the total across all six phases will be Rs 7,000 crore.
Kapur said possession has begun in the initial phases and around 120 residents live in the project, 25 per cent of them Japanese. All 15 towers are to be completed by 2032. He said the first project was launched at Rs 8,500 per sq. ft. and Krisumi City now commands around Rs 24,000 per sq. ft., and he expects prices to rise further given proximity to the upcoming Global City and better Gurugram-Delhi connectivity.
Yuji Kato, co-CEO and director, said the company’s approach rests on design, construction management and a curated lifestyle. The township was designed by Japanese firm Nikken Sekkei, known for the Tokyo Sky Tree, and the Sector 36-A land abuts the Delhi-Mumbai industrial corridor’s Global City.
The company is debt-free and will fund the project from internal accruals. Chief operating officer Kunal Rishi said demand remains strong in Gurugram for projects by credible developers. Ananta Singh Raghuvanshi, president-sales and marketing, said owners have rented out flats at around Rs 100 per sq ft.
