News: 37 km of IMT Manesar Roads to Be Resurfaced by December-10-04-2026
Roads across Sectors 1 to 8 of IMT Manesar are to be revamped and resurfaced by the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC), officials said on Friday.
The project, estimated at around Rs 33 crore, covers resurfacing, footpath repair and green central verges, with a December 2026 deadline. Nearly 37-km of roads will be taken up in phases. Contracts worth around Rs 6.91 crore have been awarded and tenders floated for about 10 km. HSIIDC executive engineer Yashaswi Verma said the first phase will start within a month.
HSIIDC officials said at least 3.5-km of the 18-km of central verges needs significant greening, particularly in Sector 8.
The Municipal Corporation of Manesar (MCM) had asked HSIIDC to survey the roads. MCM officials said the meeting was held in February and March under Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) guidelines, with MCM as nodal agency. Joint commissioner Puneet (single name) said the work will help curb dust.
Resident Rakesh Verma said roads in Sectors 1 and 8 are potholed and footpaths damaged or encroached.
