News: Haryana Roadways Plans Gurugram-Jewar Airport Bus-07-04-2026
Haryana Roadways is planning a direct bus service from Gurugram to the Noida International Airport at Jewar in UP, transport department officials said on Monday.
The same day, traffic inspectors from the Gurugram, Faridabad, Palwal and Ballabhgarh depots jointly studied a 6-km stretch from the Bulandshahr-Palwal road towards the airport. Officials said the four depots had received a letter from the department on March 27, and the study was to work out the number of buses, fares and timetable.
An official, requesting anonymity, said a detailed survey report will go to headquarters in the next few days and the route may open by April-end if it is financially viable. Senior officials will discuss the report before clearing bus allocations on the proposed 97-km route.
At present Haryana Roadways buses go up to Hajipur, about 12km from the airport, before turning towards Aligarh. Besides such partial routes, southern Haryana’s link to the airport is a daily service from Ballabhgarh in Faridabad, covering approximately 85km in almost two hours.
The official said the decision rests on high anticipated demand once the airport is fully operational, and the route will also reduce load on Gurugram-Aligarh and Gurugram-Palwal buses.
