News: GMDA Sends 7.27-Acre Land Plan to NHAI for CPR Service Road-31-03-2026
The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has finalised a land acquisition proposal for a service road on the Sector 36A side of the Central Peripheral Road (CPR), part of the Dwarka Expressway, and sent it to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), officials said.
The 12-metre-wide road will run on the left side of the CPR from Elan Mall in Sector 84 to Kherki Daula. It needs 7.27 acres from Sihi and Narsinghpur villages. Officials expect acquisition to take six months, after which estimates will be prepared and work awarded.
A senior GMDA official said the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation conducted the land survey. Chief town planner Sanjeev Mann said GMDA will bear the acquisition cost.
A private developer has already built a one-kilometre stretch of service road along the CPR, so no land is needed there. Officials claimed the road will benefit residents of the two villages and around 1,400 families in AVL 36 Society in Sector 36A.
