News: Cyber City RRTS Station Design Goes to Chief Secretary Panel-27-03-2026
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has finalised the design of the Cyber City RRTS station and on Thursday submitted it to the Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC) and Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL).
The design, for the proposed Namo Bharat line from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi through Gurugram and Rewari to Neemrana in Rajasthan, is to be approved on Friday at a meeting chaired by Haryana chief secretary Anurag Rastogi.
An official said GMRL needs around 1300 sq metres of Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL) land in the metro depot alignment, which is also likely to be discussed.
GMRL will also raise obstacles between Hero Honda Chowk and Umang Bhardwaj Chowk, including the shifting of a sweet shop, a religious ashram, a CNG station, water pipelines and sewer lines.
Another issue is a three-kilometre stretch on Sushil Aima Road where GMDA plans a large storm water drain. GMRL has asked GMDA to finish the Leg-2 drain in advance, as simultaneous work would severely disrupt traffic.
