News: Inchhapuri ROB Cleared, Gurugram-Pataudi-Rewari Highway-26-03-2026
Indian Railways has approved construction of a road over bridge (ROB) at Incchapuri on the 46km Gurugram-Pataudi-Rewari highway, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) said, clearing a hurdle that had held up the project for about a year. Completion is now expected by July end.
The new two-lane ROB will come up alongside the existing structure over the Gurugram-Rewari railway track, widening the crossing to four lanes. NHAI project director Yogesh Tilak said a launcher for installing girders will be deployed by the end of March and that the bridge will ensure the entire 45 km highway is completed.
Officials said the ROB’s cost is already part of the Rs 750 crore project. The deadline was revised from March 31 because of delays in approvals and a shortage of raw materials.
Tilak said a flyover in Sector 84 linking Dwarka Expressway with Pataudi highway should also be done by July end once its approach road is built.
The 46.1km project has 81 culverts, 23 underpasses, one ROB and two flyovers, most of them complete. Officials claim most traffic will shift from the Delhi-Jaipur Highway once it opens.
