News: Gulshan Group, IHCL to Build Tallest Taj Hotel in Noida-18-03-2026
Noida-based developer Gulshan Group has tied up with Tata Group-owned Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) to build what it says will be the country’s tallest Taj hotel, along with Taj-branded serviced apartments, at an investment of Rs 1,000 crore. Chairman Gulshan Nagpal said the project is expected to generate total revenue of around Rs 2,000 crore.
The 57-storey development, named ’Skyscape’, is in Sector 129 along the Noida Expressway. It will have a 150-room hotel and 74 serviced apartments of approximately 7,500 sq. ft, top company officials said. Construction has begun and completion is expected within five years. The 10,500 sq meter land parcel was acquired in 2021. Funding will come from internal accruals, sales collections and financial institutions. Apartment prices were not disclosed.
Officials said this will be the first Taj hotel in Noida and the second Taj-branded residential project in the country after Chennai. Gulshan Group will lead the investment and IHCL will be the hospitality operator. Nagpal said the group plans similar serviced apartment projects with Taj in other micro-markets.
Residences will occupy the 17th to the 56th storey, two to a floor, and the top floor will have a single penthouse that will not be sold. The hotel will take the lower floors, with separate entrances for the two sections. It will have an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, two speciality restaurants and an 8,000 sq. ft. ballroom.
Yukti Nagpal, director, Gulshan Group, said the project blends hospitality with the scale of real estate and is intended as a global-standard address.
Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and CEO, IHCL, said rising affluence in India is creating demand for luxury products, including branded residences in urban centres, and that the development would set a benchmark in the National Capital Region. The branded residences journey that started in Chennai is now coming to North India, he said, adding that Noida was "one white spot that was missing".
Officials expect buyers to include Noida families upgrading to serviced apartment living, South Delhi residents moving to Noida, MSME owners, logistics entrepreneurs drawn by the upcoming airport, and senior corporate executives.
