News: MCG Sets Day-and-Night Sanitation Teams for MG Road-15-03-2026

The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) has created dedicated sanitation teams for key stretches such as MG Road and the old and new Railway Road, officials said on Friday.

Joint commissioner (Zone-3) Dr Jaiveer Yadav reviewed arrangements with assistant sanitation inspectors, heard the concerns of sanitation staff and assured them their problems would be addressed at the earliest. He directed that day-and-night teams of cleaning workers and enforcement staff be formed, and asked all employees to work with responsibility and dedication.

The teams will work under two assistant sanitation inspectors (ASIs) and keep MG Road, which sees heavy traffic and footfall, continuously clean through regular sweeping, garbage removal and monitoring. The senior sanitation inspector (SSI) has been told to arrange adequate staff.

MCG officials said similar initiatives will follow in other parts of the city.
