News: DHBVN Adds Three Circles, 24 Divisions, 78 Subdivisions-06-03-2026
The Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has begun a large-scale reorganisation of its field offices, creating three new circles, 24 divisions and 78 subdivisions in Gurugram and the other south Haryana districts it serves, discom officials said on Thursday. They attributed the move to a growing consumer base, wider operational areas and revised staffing norms.
Managing director Vikram Singh, who approved the plan, said it would ease pressure on existing offices, bring services closer to consumers and strengthen supply infrastructure. He also expects lower line losses and faster, more transparent and accountable service.
The new circles will be at the Hansi, Nuh and Charkhi Dadri district headquarters. Gurugram’s Circle-I, which had the City and Manesar divisions, gets City-2 and Pataudi. Circle-II, which had Sub-Urban and Sohna, gets South City and Badshahpur. New divisions are also planned at Barwala and Cantt in Hisar, Bhuna and Ratia in Fatehabad, Odhan and Rania in Sirsa, Tosham and Badhra in Bhiwani, and in Jind, Faridabad, Palwal, Rewari and Mahendragarh districts.
Officials said Pataudi, Badshahpur, Badhra in Bhiwani Circle and Sub-Urban Rewari are already functional. Of the 78 subdivisions, 34 have been formed and the rest will follow in phases.
