News: GMDA Clears DPR for Rs 47 Crore Dadi Sati Chowk Flyover-02-03-2026
The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has cleared the detailed project report (DPR) for a flyover over Dadi Sati Chowk on the IMT Manesar Road from the Dwarka Expressway side, officials said on Sunday.
A senior official said GMDA chief executive officer PC Meena approved the DPR and a tender is likely within two weeks. The cost is estimated at about Rs 47 crore, with construction taking around two years from the award. Chief minister Nayab Singh Saini approved the project at a GMDA meeting on July 10, 2024.
The six-lane flyover, about 900 metres long, will come up on the road from the Elan Mall side in Sector 84 towards IMT Manesar. The DPR also provides for a future underpass on Rampura Road beneath it, with retaining walls on both sides.
A GMDA survey found around 9,700 vehicles use the intersection between 8am and 10am, and 5pm and 8pm. An official said Indian Road Congress (IRC) norms require a flyover or underpass where more than 7,500 vehicles pass in an hour. Cars, vans and jeeps form 52% of the traffic and two-wheelers 25%.
