News: 13 Unauthorised Gates Demolished in South City 1 Gurugram-18-02-2026

The enforcement wing of the department of town and country planning (DTCP) on Tuesday demolished gates installed without permission on internal roads of South City 1.

The action followed a CM window complaint that the gates stayed shut day and night with no guards to open them, hampering residents and emergency vehicles trying to leave the colony. A junior engineer surveyed the site and a show-cause notice was issued beforehand.

Officials first spoke of 11 gates, but the department later said 13 were removed. District town planner Amit Madholia said RWAs and residents may install gates after obtaining permission from the competent authority through due process.

Acting on a separate CM window complaint, the team also cleared encroachments from a green belt in the colony with police help.
