Reports gave the buses’ arrival as the end of March, with induction into the fleet by April.
An e-bus depot in Sector 10 is complete, and another is being built in Sector 48 at a cost of Rs 16 crore. The winning company will supply drivers. GMBCL will arrange conductors and has asked the government agency for manpower, with alternative arrangements if needed.
CEO Vishwajit Choudhary said 200 additional buses have been approved for Gurugram and 32 routes identified. Depot infrastructure in Sector 10 and the parking lot in Sector 48 are ready, and a substation has been approved for the Sector 48 depot.
