News: Mhari Sadak App: Gurugram Lags on Road Repair Complaints-15-02-2026
Gurugram is carrying a backlog of road repair complaints even as Haryana pushes to make the city pothole-free before the next monsoon. The state’s Mhari Sadak platform showed 1,482 complaints from the city as of February 7, of which 430 were resolved and 70 rejected, with a large share pending.
The app, launched in October 2025, lets citizens report potholes, damaged stretches and waterlogging, and displays complaints from the past three months. Officials said Gurugram has the most complaints marked "under process" among districts.
MCG chief engineer Vijay Dhaka blamed occasional glitches in the new app. Officials are supposed to acknowledge complaints, but many were auto-accepted without the junior engineer concerned knowing, so they show as overdue. He conceded there are overdue complaints but said the real number may be lower.
Rejections, he said, arise because people report sanitation, garbage dumping or dust, which the road-repair app automatically turns down. Updates are under way and it should be running smoothly by March.
Faridabad logged 1,522 complaints: 1,088 resolved, 334 in process, 12 overdue and 33 not yet taken up.
Chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday announced an urgent, time-bound plan to fix Gurugram’s broken roads and infrastructure gaps.
