News: New Gurugram Bus Links Millennium City Centre to AIIMS-13-02-2026
Gurugram Metropolitan City Bus Limited (GMCBL) has begun a city bus service from Millennium City Center Metro Station to Badli in Jhajjar, a 36.5 km route that also serves the National Cancer Institute, AIIMS, Badsa.
Four buses run on the route, numbered 155, making 40 trips a day with 39 stops. A senior official said the trial took place on Tuesday and full operations began on Wednesday.
Until now there was no direct bus from NCR to AIIMS Jhajjar. Passengers arriving by metro had to go to the Gurugram bus stand and take state roadways buses. Haryana chief secretary Anurag Rastogi directed in November last year that the link be started for cancer patients and their attendants.
Service begins at 6:40 am. Buses leave the metro station at 7.10, 7.30, 7.50, 10.05, 10.35, 10.55 and 11.15 am, and leave Badli at 8.10, 8.40, 9.00, 9.20 and 11.35 am and 12.05, 12.25 and 12.45 pm.
CEO Vishwajit Chaudhary said the route covers major parts of the city and more buses will be added if ridership grows. Officials said the launch had been planned for last month but was held back pending road repairs near Dhankot.
The National Cancer Institute at Badsa is a publicly funded cancer care and research facility that functions as a specialised extension of AIIMS New Delhi.
