News: Saini Gives Gurugram Officials a Month to Fix Roads-10-02-2026
Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini said on Monday that the government is paying special attention to Gurugram’s development and to quick redressal of grievances, and told officers to treat public-interest work as the highest priority with no negligence at any level.
He was chairing the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee in Gurugram. Of 17 complaints taken up, 12 were settled on the spot and five kept pending, with departments asked to bring detailed status reports to the next meeting.
Acting on a complaint about the stretch from Umang Bhardwaj Chowk in Sector 10A via Gadoli to the Dwarka Expressway, Saini ordered it made pothole-free within 24 hours and any encroachments removed. All damaged roads are to be repaired within a month.
On the blocked road raised by the Carnation Residency RWA in Sector 85, he said a joint committee had examined the matter. Following its report the builder has bought the disputed private land and old structures are being cleared. A 24-metre-wide road linking the area to the main road and Dwarka Expressway will be built within two weeks, officials said.
He also set a one-month deadline to end long-standing waterlogging in Surat Nagar Phase-1, ordering drainage restoration, pumps and regular monitoring.
Mayor Rajrani Malhotra, principal advisor (urban development) D.S. Dhesi, GMDA CEO P.C. Meena and deputy commissioner Ajay Kumar attended.
