News: GMDA to Build Service Roads on Six Gurugram Stretches-03-02-2026
The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) will build and specially repair service roads along at least six major city roads to add capacity and reduce congestion. Tenders are out for three, with the rest to follow.
Executive engineer Amit Godara said the tendered stretches are the Sector 30-31 master road, Ardee City to Sohna road and the Sector 49-51 master road. Encroachments will be removed and footpaths improved.
The other three are along Sector 51-57, Sector 52-57 and the Sector 51-52 dividing road, a combined 7.5 km, where green belts between the carriageway and service roads will be lowered and footpaths repaired.
GMDA said on Monday it will also carry out thermoplastic marking across Sectors 1 to 80, covering over 100 km with lane lines, zebra crossings and safety markings, including requests from road safety meetings and the public.
A tender has been floated too for special repair of the 1 km Daulatabad Railway Over Bridge, with bituminous resurfacing and strengthening to be completed in six months.
