News: Canonicus, TREVOC Form Rs500-Crore Fund for Stalled NCR Homes-03-02-2026
Canonicus Capital, a private equity firm focused on last-mile real estate finance, has joined hands with NCR developer TREVOC Group to create a Rs 500 crore funding and execution platform aimed at completing stalled projects across the National Capital Region.
In a statement on February 3, the company said the platform will target projects held up by execution bottlenecks and last-mile liquidity shortfalls. Canonicus has committed up to Rs 125 crore for the first phase, with the platform expected to grow to Rs 500 crore across Delhi-NCR over the next few years.
A pipeline of near-complete residential and mixed-use projects with clean titles, solid demand and high completion readiness has already been evaluated, and talks are under way with more developers.
Under the arrangement, TREVOC will handle on-ground execution, construction management, governance and delivery schedules, while Canonicus supplies structured institutional capital. The company said the platform tackles a persistent NCR problem: sound, demand-backed projects delayed by fragmented execution, inefficient contractors and tight working capital.
TREVOC founder Gurpal Chawla said near-complete projects need execution systems, governance and accountability, not capital alone. Canonicus Executive Director Rajan Gupta said last-mile funding works best with strong controls, transparency and clear execution responsibility, ensuring efficient use of funds while protecting buyers.
TREVOC develops residential and commercial assets in NCR. Canonicus recently closed a dedicated Rs 200 crore fund for NCR opportunities, including last-mile completion financing.
