News: Pay shifting fee to flat owners in three Chintels Paradiso towers, builder told-24-06-2023
District town planner (enforcement) Manish Yadav on Friday wrote to Chintels India, the developer of Paradiso residential project in Sector 109, to pay shifting charges to the flat owners of towers D, E and F.
In a letter to the developer, DTP Yadav directed the builder to pay shifting charges to the residents of the three towers - D, E and Fwho want to shift without giving consent for option I or II offered by the developer.
Under option I, Chintels has offered residents of towers D, E and F an all-inclusive compensation of Rs 6,500 per sqft, cost of interior work, as well as refund of the stamp duty amount paid by them. As a second option, Chintels has offered to get the towers repaired and/or rebuilt based on the recommendations of the CBRI.
Yadav in his letter said a meeting was held under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner Nishant Yadav on May 3 to discuss various issues pertaining to towers D, E & F of Chintels Paradiso. In the meeting, the developer was directed to make the compliance of the decision taken in the meeting and submit the compliance report to the DC's office.
Further, it also directed the developer to pay shifting charges to the residents who want to shift without giving consent for any of the two options. However, it has come to the notice of the committee that there is some ambiguity between the residents of respective towers regarding payment under option I. In this regard it is intimated that developer has to pay Rs 6,500/ sqft (super area), cost of interior as finalised by the committee, actual stamp duty, shifting charges and rent till full/final payment of flat to the owners, who are opting for option I.
Yadav further said that the developer has been intimated that the decision/direction given in the meeting stand approved by the committee and accordingly it is directed to make the compliance of the decision and submit a progress report in every 15 days before the committee. Spokesperson for the developer said, "We have always stood by our clients and will always do what we can towards their interests"
