News: Two residential buildings, illegal office sealed for violations in Gurugram-04-05-2023

: The department of town and country planning (DTCP) sealed two residential properties in DLF 1 and an office being operated from the basement of Palm Springs Plaza on Golf course road on Wednesday for violating norms

On the basis of the complaints received on the CM window, district town planner (enforcement) Manish Yadav took action against the residential properties for violating provisions of occupation certificate. Similarly, the office being run from the basement of the society, in an illegal manner has been sealed. The department also sealed the area encroached by a cafe located on Golf Course Road.

Yadav said that the enforcement team found a room illegally constructed in the stilt area of the property G 19/2 after procuring occupation certificate. Another property G 19/17 carried out unauthorised construction in the form of a room in stilt area, covering cut out area and others in violation of Haryana Building Code following which three floors were sealed.

Similarly, the office of an IT company, with around 15 staff, was being run from the basement of Palm Springs Plaza on the Golf Course road. Officials said that the unit in the basement was leased to a company Mojo Innovative and it was being used as a data centre wherein computers/servers were stored to carry out activities. The nature of business activities being carried out could not be explained by the staff available there

Yadav said that the basement can only be used for storage and parking according to the norms but illegal commercial use of the area is not allowed.
