News: DTCP seeks FIR against three people for carving out illegal colonies in Sohna-28-04-23

The department of town and country planning (DTCP) has written to police urging them to register an FIR against three people for allegedly carving out illegal colonies in Sohna violating the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Area Act, 1975

In the letter, DTCP has identified violations at three sites owned by Sukhdev Singh, Shashi Bala and Royal Blue City developer, which are punishable offences with imprisonment up to 3 years.

District town planner (enforcement) Manish Yadav said these sites fall within notified Urban Area of Gurgaon. Among other sections, Section 7 (9) of the Act prohibits sub-division of the land for carving out the colony.

He said these people have violated the norms and are deliberately continuing with the contravention of provision of the Act and rules framed there under
