News: Gurugram deputy commissioner orders probe after AVL 36A buyers' allegations-10-06-2022
Deputy commissioner formed a committee comprising sub-divisional-magistrate (SDM) and district town planner (DTP) to investigate the allegations and also check if there is any violation of provision of Affordable Housing policy in AVL36A.
AVL36 has a total of 1,480 flats where 1,200 families are residing. The project was completed before permitted time and the occupation certificate was granted in December 2019.
Lalit Kumar, secretary of the social welfare society, said that most of the schools are not providing bus facilities till the society due to non-availability of roads. “The builder has allotted parking space to few buyers which has also created a dispute among the owners,” said Kumar.
After receiving the complaint from residents, deputy commissioner formed a committee comprising subdivisional-magistrate (SDM) and district town planner (DTP) to investigate the allegations and also check if there is any violation of provision of Affordable Housing policy in AVL36A. The DC has directed the panel to submit an investigation report within two weeks.
Virender Dhanda, managing director of AVL Infrastructure Pvt ltd, said, “We have paid all our EDC (external development charges) and are following up with the government agencies, including the chief minister's office, since 2014 for the construction of roads and other services to provide connectivity to the society. We have been recently given assurance that a committee has been formed and a process has been initiated to complete the external development works,” said Dhanda.
“Our is one of the few societies where each flat has an individual meter and they directly pay to DHBVN. We have no role in it,”he said.
