CHANDIGARH: Giving respite to directors of Gurugram based real-estate company, the Punjab and Haryana high court stayed their arrest in a case pertaining to alleged grabbing of 151 acres of land from farmers in Gurugram district and selling it to investors. The complainant withdraws his case against the company and its directors.
When the matter came up for hearing before the high court , the company's counsel argued that Brahma City Private Ltd had a licence to develop a colony and was selling the plots after obtaining a licence from concerned departments. He also informed the court that two plots were sold to the complainant, who paid 10%
The spokesperson of Brahma City Private Ltd said the complaints were false and frivolous. The complaints were filed with the intention to defame the company and its directors. Even the customer Mewa Singh, who had filed these complaints before various courts and forums issued a public notice on April 19,2018 in Times of India accepting his wrong actions he had taken against the company and its directors.
The matter with Mewa Singh was settled and the same was taken on record by the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of Delhi High Court. The issues with Mewa Singh have been resolved.
Earlier two FIRs were registered with Gurugram police on the complaint of Mewa Singh. The company was accused of fraudulently taking 151 acres of land in 2010 from farmers of Ulhawas and nearby villages and taking residential licence from the department of town & country planning, Haryana, in the name of their company, then known as Krrish Buildtech Pvt Ltd.
According to complainant Mewa Singh all the complaints filed by him have been withdrawn and he has issued a public notice in this regard in the newspaper.
