GURUGRAM: : The city’s Master Plan will be changed to highlight industrial and residential areas in Daultabad separately by July 15, chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced on Thursday.
He was in Gurgaon on Thursday to chair the district grievance committee meeting, in which the CM addressed complaints related to illegal encroachment, development of Daultabad industrial area, pollution from industrial units and revamp of Leisure Valley park, among other issues.
Daultabad industrial area will also have a sewage treatment plant soon, the CM said. “The area was developed several years back, but there were certain issues over demarcation of industrial and residential areas. In order to resolve them, changes will be made in the Master Plan,” Khattar said.
While 18 issues were listed for the meeting, 13 of them were resolved or directions were issued, while the rest were kept on hold till the next meeting.
Daultabad Industrial Association president Pawan Kumar Jindal said there are more than 266 small and mediumscale industries operational in the area.
The proposal for changes in the master plan has been sent to the head office and the department of town and country planning has been informed that the process to make changes is underway, senior town planner Sanjeev Mann said.
During the meeting, the redevelopment of Leisure Valley Park in Sector 29 was also discussed. “We have prepared a plan for renovation and installation of fountains at a cost of Rs 6.5 crore,” Khattar said. He also directed officials to clean the park and share photos of the work with him.
The CM directed all officials to remove encroachments in their respective jurisdictions and update the details of government land in revenue records.While hearing a complaint about dumping of solid waste in open areas of Saraswati Kunj, Khattar directed officials to survey the area and construct boundary walls to protect the land from encroachments and dumping of waste.
CM directed MCG to develop a website wherein people can complain about dumping of waste so that the civic body can remove garbage in 24 to 48 hours.
“Install CCTV cameras to monitor and identify the people who are dumping solid waste in open areas,” Khattar said, adding that such people should be penalised.
On the issue of the pollution in a residential area of Gadoli Khurd due to two textile units, CM directed HSPCB to immediately close those two units. The units were operational without approval or permission from HSPCB, officials said.
